We had a wonderful stay at Cerro Chato Ecolodge. the cabins were clean, well-maintained, and comfortable. the family that owns and runs the lodge were friendly and helpful. the breakfast, included in the room rate, was delicious and the perfect way to start the day. the lodge is tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the town, but still within walking distance of all amenities. It provided a great value for the price and allowed us to truly experience Costa Rican culture. Cons: Nothing to complain about, all was good. 👍.

I had an amazing stay at a beautiful bungalow surrounded by nature. The grounds were well-maintained and eco-friendly. The staff was friendly and helpful. I enjoyed the peaceful sounds of the cicadas and the close proximity to Volcán Arenal, hot springs, and the green lagoon. Despite slightly bumpy roads, it was definitely worth it. I highly recommend this place!

This budget-friendly lodge is located in a peaceful area, away from the crowded hotels along the main road. Guests enjoy the tranquility and beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. The lodges are cozy and provide a comfortable space to relax and sleep. The beds are comfy and the breakfast, served by the friendly staff, is delicious. The Wi-Fi in some rooms can be spotty, but it works fine around the office.

As trekkers and a group of friends, we had a fantastic experience at this ecolodge. The lodge is located in a peaceful area, surrounded by nature and wildlife. Waking up to the sounds of birds singing and spotting monkeys, squirrels, and iguanas in the patio added to the charm. The owner, Miguel, was extremely hospitable and went out of his way to ensure our comfort and enjoyment. The rooms were simple and clean, with hot water showers and comfortable beds. The breakfast served was delicious and fulfilling, with options for vegetarians. We also appreciated the well-maintained grounds and the opportunity to relax in the hammocks provided.
One minor drawback was the limited dining options within walking distance of the lodge. While there are a few family-owned "sodas" nearby, the choices for restaurants are more abundant in the city, which is a short taxi or car ride away.
